How does launching work? Do I need to bring the boat in myself?

You don't have to do the launching if you have a delivery on Lac Ouareau or Lac Archambault. We'll deliver the boat and explain how it works, so you'll leave with all the information you need to have a wonderful day.

Is gas included?

Gasoline is not included with the boat rental. Gasoline is charged at the daily rate + $0.30.

How do I make the deposit?

The deposit is taken once in the store, and is by credit only. It is not a direct debit, but rather an authorization on the credit card.

Do I need a boating permit?

A boating license is required at all times to operate a boat with more than 9 hp. You can take the navigation course online at www.cartebateau.com. However, it is possible to sail one of our boats for a day if you want to try it out before taking the course. We can provide you with a temporary permit for the day at no extra cost.

Are dogs allowed on board?

Dogs may be brought on board. However, you are responsible for any damage done to the boat once it's in your hands. You know your dog better than anyone, so it's up to you to decide.

How much does insurance cost?

Insurances are included in the online price, the insurances are a civil cover. However, the deductible is covered. The in-store deposit is $2500 for boats and $1500 for seadoo.

Is it possible to have more than one driver?

You can have as many drivers as you like, as long as they are over 21 (insurance) and not under the influence of alcohol.

Are there any hard-to-reach spots on the lake that could damage the boat?

The lake is very large and there may be some places that are difficult to navigate, which can damage the boat, but these places are identified by buoys.

The Boating Mers et Lac application allows you to identify shallow and deep water areas.

Propeller breakage is a fairly common occurrence. The cost of a broken propeller is $300 + tax, which includes time and the cost of the propeller.
