About us
Location Marine Saint-Donat
In April 2021, Mr. Bélanger realized one of his dreams by acquiring a boat rental business in Saint-Donat, bringing him closer to his passion for nautical activities. The company boasts the largest rental fleet in the region, with over 20 boats and pontoons available for residents and vacationers wishing to explore Lac Ouareau and Lac Archambault. In addition to rentals, the company offers complementary services such as boat storage, maintenance for owners, and the loan of various tools. The site can accommodate between 60 and 70 winter storage units. Since its acquisition, Mr. Bélanger has undertaken renovation and restructuring work on the main building to improve the customer experience. To optimize the company's operations, he also undertook the modernization of the website, now enabling online rentals and better data management. He's not stopping there, either, as he's also working on opening a nautical and outdoor equipment boutique, as well as introducing paddleboards for sale, with a first order already on the way. These initiatives reflect his desire to broaden and diversify the company's offering to better serve its customers.

Code of ethics for users of Saint-Donat lakes
This code of ethics will help maintain an attitude of respect not only towards the natural environment, but also between the various lake users.
The Code of Ethics does not replace the regulations applicable on the territory of the Municipality of Saint-Donat.
Invasive alien species
Invasive alien species are a real threat to the quality of water bodies, because once a species becomes established in an ecosystem, it becomes virtually impossible to dislodge it, and very costly to control. Prevention is therefore a necessary measure to preserve the quality of our lakes. With this in mind, it is MANDATORY for any boat that has navigated on a body of water outside Saint-Donat to obtain a cleaning certificate before being allowed access to the territory's bodies of water again.
The waves
Shoreline erosion is a growing concern in Saint-Donat, coinciding with the advent of towing practices that generate increasingly high and powerful waves. Waves also cause damage to aquatic ecosystems such as spawning grounds, marshes and other wildlife habitats. Waves contribute to the risk of accidents and are a source of concern for many people. It is advisable to travel at speeds that create as few waves as possible, and not to deliberately create them.
Motorboat speed
Medium-sized boats generate their biggest waves between 8 and 25 km/h. To reduce wave generation, sediment resuspension and the risk of accidents, respect the statutory speed limits: 10 km/h within 50 or 100 meters of the shoreline (depending on the lake) and 55 km/h on the rest of the lake.
Passage of a motorized boat near a swimmer or a boat
In all cases, swimmers and non-motorized boats have priority over motorized boats. Operators of motorized craft must respect this priority and avoid heading in the direction of a swimmer or non-motorized craft. Never approach within 50 metres of a swimmer or non-motorized craft, unless expressly invited to do so. This 50-metre distance also applies to encounters with wild animals.
Noise
Noise pollution is a growing nuisance for many citizens. Noise propagates over long distances on the surface of water. Lakes should be a peaceful environment for users and residents alike. Noise makes no useful contribution to navigation and must be reduced to the minimum justified by the boat's propulsion system. The use of high-volume sound systems is also to be avoided at all times. When navigating in narrow areas (Ouareau River) or bays, it is advisable to turn off your sound system. Elsewhere on the lakes, keep the noise level as low as possible at all times.
Lake sharing and sailing times
To ensure the peace and quiet of local residents, we recommend that towing activities start at 8 a.m. and end at 8 p.m. In addition, in order to enjoy a period conducive to relaxation, swimming and non-motorized activities, we recommend that you plan your towing activities before 12 p.m. and after 2 p.m. Between one hour after sunset and one hour before sunrise, we suggest sailing at low speed and without music.
Launching: Parc des Pionniers
Our main launching point is on Lac Archambault. However, it is possible to launch our boats on Lac Ouareau for an extra $30. For any other lake in St-Donat, we cannot provide transportation. However, you can rent one of our boats and transport it yourself. Trailer rental is included with the boat.
If you would like to bring one of our boats to a town outside St-Donat. It's essential to contact city hall to find out about the regulations and procedures to be followed when a boat arrives from a neighboring town, as many cities require a washing certificate and a lake access sticker.
